Canadian Tire launches home improvement website
A recent survey performed by Canadian Tire finds that more than half of Canadians have multiple jobs that they want to do around the house, but nearly the same number of respondents don't know how or where to begin. To help, the company recently launched a website which aims to arm homeowners with the advice they need in their home improvement efforts.
In a statement, Duncan Reith, Senior Vice-President for Merchandising at Canadian Tire, talked about some of the issues homeowners face.
"Taking care of a home in Canada is a unique challenge, with its own set of jobs and joys," said Reith. "[Canadians] just need the idea and the right tools, and Canadian Tire has both.”
The website features an array of videos wherein professionals work on various projects at someone's actual home. The 'how-to' videos include how to fix common utility problems around the house and how to make a home more energy-efficient.
Depending on the size of a home improvement project, homeowners may want to consult with their home insurance provider as alterations can affect rates.
