The legal responsibility of an individual for causing loss to someone else, by injuring them or damaging his or her vehicle or property.
A type of coverage that offers protection if you or anyone named as a driver on your policy damages a vehicle that doesn’t belong to you. It also means that if you rent a car for personal use within the geographical area covered by your policy, you won’t have to pay for the insurance offered by the rental company.
This endorsement applies to:
Any event causing damage.
Covers your transportation expenses when you can’t use your vehicle because of loss or damage to your car caused by a peril that's included in your insurance coverage. Expenses include the rental of a substitute automobile, including taxis or other means of public transportation.
While it covers reasonable expenses to rent a similar, substitute automobile, this coverage does not give you the option of renting any vehicle of your choice, up to the selected limit.
