At The Personal, we believe it's important to keep an open line of communication with our clients.

We want to make sure our social media accounts are inclusive spaces. Our aim is to have a space where you can share and connect with others respectfully—and we're counting on you to help build a welcoming and supportive community when you interact with others on our pages.

Moderation and terms of use

The Personal's pages (as well as any other pages we own) are placed where you can connect with others and share your experience. All comments are read, reviewed and moderated by our community managers who will do their best to respond to you as soon as possible (during business hours from Monday to Friday).

To maintain a respectful dialogue, please follow these rules when you share anything on our accounts:

  1. Be polite and respectful at all times. Hate speech, threats, harassment and incitement will not be tolerated.
  2. Never post offensive content that may expose a person or a group to hatred or contempt on the basis of origin, colour, religion, gender identity, gender expression, age or physical or intellectual disability.
  3. Stay on topic and avoid posting the same content multiple times. Spam will not be tolerated.
  4. Never post personal or confidential information, financial or otherwise, on our pages. Protecting personal information is everyone's responsibility.
  5. Make sure your information is accurate. It must not infringe on intellectual property, confidentiality or other third-party rights.
  6. Identify yourself. The Personal's social media and other digital platforms are not anonymous, and we reserve the right to not post a comment or not reply to a question if we aren't sure who wrote it.
  7. Avoid using all capital letters in your message since this can be perceived as aggressive.
  8. Avoid sharing commercial content. Ads are not permitted in any form, including comments that promote products and services.
  9. Make sure the links you share in your comments are relevant. We have no control over third-party websites that you or other users may link to and, as a result, The Personal is not responsible for the content on these sites.
  10. Remember that what you post will be permanently visible. Your comments will stay on the platform for an indefinite amount of time and will be indexed by search engines.

By using The Personal's social media (including any other pages we own), you confirm that you understand and accept these terms of use. Please note that in order to maintain a safe and constructive online environment, we may, without notice, delete any comments that do not comply with the terms of use and may delete or block followers for any interaction that is deemed to be inappropriate or harassment.
