You can replace or add a vehicle on your policy online! No need to call anyone. It’ll just take a few minutes to get your temporary confirmation of insurance, and you’re all set!

Before you begin, make sure you have the following information:

Vehicle identification number (VIN)
Price of the new vehicle
Name of the creditor or leasing company

You can also add a vehicle and a driver on your policy online. You’ll just need to answer a few questions about the new driver and how they’ll be using the vehicle(s).

Add a driver

You can add a new driver without speaking to an insurance agent. You’ll need to answer a few questions about the new driver and how they’ll be using the insured vehicle(s).

We’ll tell you if it affects your premium. Then you just have to confirm the changes.

You can also add a vehicle and a driver on your policy online. Make sure you have the following information:

Vehicle identification number (VIN)
Price of the new vehicle
Name of the creditor or leasing company
Information about the new driver

At the end of the transaction, we’ll confirm your new premium.

File an insurance claim

Auto insurance

You can file a claim online in just about 10 minutes.

You’ll be able to check your coverage, your liability and the deductible you need to pay.
You’ll then be able to make an appointment with one of our network’s body shops to get a damage estimate.
Depending on certain eligibility criteria, you may be able to choose the photo-based estimate option and send photos of the damage yourself instead of going to the repair shop to get a damage estimate.

Home insurance

You can file a claim online at any time. It’s quick and easy! A claims advisor will call you within 1 business day.

Update your payment methods

You can manage your payments entirely online.

Change your payment method to one of these 3 accepted options:
- Pre-authorized monthly withdrawals from your bank account
- A single annual payment by credit card
- A single annual payment by cheque or through a financial institution
Update your credit card details. Make sure to update your information at least 5 business days before the next scheduled payment.
Check your remaining premium balance.

Do I have to tell you if I renovate my home?

You have to contact us if the work:

Increases the value of the home (for instance, if you add a storey or an extension or if you finish the basement)
Reduces or increases the risk of damage to your home, for instance, if you:
- Replace a water heater that’s more than 10 years old
- Replace a roof that’s more than 20 years old
- Install a fireplace
- Buy a swimming pool or a hot tub

You don’t have to tell us if you make minors cosmetic changes, such as painting a room or renovating a bathroom.

Confirmation of insurance

How can I get a temporary confirmation of insurance after making a change to my insurance policy online?

Have you made a change to your auto insurance policy using your Online Services account? When you finish the transaction, you’ll get a temporary confirmation of insurance that you can print. This is an official document that can temporarily replace your insurance policy for 7 days.

Do you need to provide proof of insurance to a dealership or creditor? Please contact us. We’ll send you a copy of your confirmation of insurance by email, regular mail or fax, whichever you prefer.

The temporary confirmation of insurance and the proof of insurance are not insurance contracts. They are provided for information purposes only, subject to all the terms, conditions, exclusions and provisions of your insurance policy.

Renew an insurance policy

Can I renew my home or car insurance online?

No, you cannot renew your insurance online. But if you use pre-authorized payments and want to keep the same coverage, you don’t need to do anything. Your policy renews on the date specified in your policy document.
