Coverage by vehicle type
Motorhomes (including RVs), truck campers and camping trailers
Motorhomes and truck campers can be covered under your auto insurance.
Camping trailers can be covered under your auto or home insurance, based on certain conditions.
Boats, personal watercraft and more (e.g., canoes, kayaks, rowboats, pedal boats)
Watercraft can be insured under your home insurance by adding specific coverage to your policy.

Standard coverage
Get essential coverage for your motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV or motorhome
Liability (section A)
All road vehicles must have liability insurance. It protects you if you’re involved in an accident and you damage property, like a fence, house or hydro pole, or if you injure someone and it’s not covered by the SAAQ.
We recommend liability coverage of at least $2 million.
Collision or upset (Section B2)
All perils other than collision or upset (Section B3)
Optional coverage
Value Plus OptionTM
Get a great coverage for your motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV or motorhome
This option protects your new or used vehicle against depreciation for up to 5 years.
Your vehicle is stolen and not recovered or a total loss: we’ll pay an indemnity corresponding to the price you paid, increased by an annual percentage.
There’s damage to your vehicle: we’ll repair or replace the damaged parts with new parts, with no deduction for depreciation.
Travel costs (broad form)
Practical coverage for your motorcycle or motorhome
This covers your travel costs if your recreational vehicle is stolen or no longer roadworthy after a covered loss.
If you’re on a trip, this coverage also includes:
- Transportation
- Meals
- Accommodation in an hotel, for example

To get an auto insurance quote, you’ll need the following information for you and any other drivers you want to insure:
- The date you want your insurance to start
- Information about all the vehicles you want to insure (year, make, model, odometer reading)
- Current auto insurance provider
- Information on driving violations for each driver(number and type)
- Information on past claims for each driver (number and type)

their driver’s licence number
Information to have on hand when getting a quote
To get a home insurance quote, you'll need the following information about your property:
- Year of construction
- Type of exterior siding (brick, stone, vinyl, aluminum)
- Heating sources (electricity, gas, dual energy, wood-burning stove)
- Total ground floor area (excluding the basement)
- Year the roofing material was last fully replaced
- Security systems in the home
Information to have on hand when getting a tenant insurance quote
To get a tenant insurance quote, you'll need the following information about your unit:
General information
- The date you want your insurance to start
- Number of apartments in the building
- Type of business in the building
- Floor you live on
- Amount of insurance for your belongings
- Current insurance provider
- Security systems in your unit
Insurance history
- Number and description of any past home insurance losses (type of loss, year)
If you qualify to buy your tenant insurance online, you will also need the following information:
- Banking information for pre-authorized debit payments
